Medical Insurance
EESA does not provide health insurance coverage. It is the responsibility of the students and their families to choose a plan that best fits their situation. Health care at numerous private clinics in Kharkiv is of good quality and is not expensive. A typical consultation with a doctor at a private hospital costs around $10-$15. For routine, non-emergency medical situations, students should notify the EESA onsite coordinators. They will help choose a hospital, schedule an appointment, and provide translation services if needed. For medical emergencies, students can call the local public service ambulance at the number 103.
Emergency medical evacuation insurance is not provided by EESA. Students may consider investing into such plan prior to departure.
