EESA program in 2014 and beyond

EESA has successfully launched the online language immersion program with the first group completing their 8-week study in June and July 2014. Because of the Russian aggression towards Ukraine, EESA made a decision to remove academic field trips to Russia from our semester and year programs starting with the spring 2015. 200th anniversary since the birth of Taras Shevchenko

Today marks the 200th anniversary since the birth of Taras Shevchenko, a great Ukrainian poet, writer, painter, ethnographer and civil rights activist. Taras Shevchenko became one of the best known symbolic figures of the Ukrainian nation not just for his creative achievements, but also for his fight for freedom, against slavery and the institution of serfdom itself.
