Housing

EESA makes it one of its priorities to provide safe, clean, modern and comfortable housing. Students will live in the heart of Khakiv close to the main attractions, theaters, parks, restaurants and markets. The center of Kharkiv has plenty of things to do and opportunities to explore the culture and meet local people. Living close to the Metro, the underground transportation system provides for easy and fast access to all corners of the city.

EESA students will be placed in fully furnished 2-4 bedroom apartments. All students will live in close proximity to Karazin Kharkiv National University where the classes take place. Each student will have his/her own bedroom and will share an apartment with other EESA students. Kitchen, living room, and bathroom are shared areas. Apartments are equipped with all necessary modern appliances for comfortable living. Laundry is not a problem because each apartment has a washing machine in the unit free of charge to students. Homestays or a host family are an option for interested students - please contact EESA if you wish to live with a local family.

To help arrange for the best roommate situation, EESA asks each student to fill out the housing questionnaire form included with the application package very honestly. This information is confidential and is not shared with any other students, parents or staff not involved in housing placement. The responses to the housing questionnaire do not play any role in the admission process. EESA makes every effort to place students together, who we believe would be most compatible in sharing an apartment. In addition, the EESA office in Kharkiv has a full-time housing advisor that helps students work out any problems and find a solution for a comfortable living arrangement.
