EESA ScholarshipsEESA believes that studying abroad is the most beneficial time of a student’s life; and we are committed to making it affordable for everyone. In addition to discounts and promotions, EESA offers scholarships up to $7,000. Students are always encouraged to contact us directly at apply@eesabroad.org and discuss their financial situation. Various financing options are available and we specialize in finding individualized solutions to make studying abroad possible. To apply for an EESA scholarship, students must submit the online study abroad application and supporting documents. Visit MyEESA to learn more. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university and have their official transcript mailed to EESA. Students must meet a minimum GPA requirement and answer a scholarship question with an essay of one to two pages long. Scholarship applications can be submitted online or by mail to: Eastern European Study Abroad, P.O. Box 204, Edwards, Colorado 81632-0204 Students who have applied to study abroad with EESA are eligible to apply for any of the EESA scholarships. EESA merit-based scholarship: Amount: $500 to $1,000 Minimum GPA: 3.25 Scholarship Question: Briefly describe your academic and personal achievements, why you want to study abroad, and how it will influence your personal and professional growth. EESA need-based scholarship: Amount: up to $1,500 Minimum GPA: 2.50 Scholarship Question: Evaluate your budget for studying abroad and describe why you want to study with EESA. Describe your goals and expectations and how completing a study abroad program will influence them. EESA academic year scholarship: Academic and calendar year students automatically receive a $500 Consecutive Term Discount. In addition, they are eligible to apply for the EESA academic year study abroad scholarship. Amount: $1,500 - $7,000 Minimum GPA: 3.00 Scholarship Question: Describe why you chose to study abroad for a full year versus a semester and how this experience will benefit you. Outline your achievements and goals and what led up to your decision to study abroad with EESA. Evaluate your study abroad budget, being as specific with numbers as possible: how much education costs for you now, your sources of financing, anticipated financial aid award etc.
Scholarship Application Deadlines:
- Spring 2012: October 15, 2011
- Fall 2012: March 1, 2012 EESA scholarships are limited and students are encouraged to apply for a scholarship as soon as they decide to study abroad with EESA. Scholarship funds will be applied towards EESA tuition and will be reflected on the final EESA invoice.
